韓国で開かれているユネスコの世界遺産委員会で、26日、日本が推薦している奈良県内の飛鳥時代の遺跡群、「飛鳥・藤原の宮都」の世界遺産への登録が決まる見通しです。登録されれば、日本国内では27件目の世界遺産となります。

韓国南部のプサンで開かれているユネスコ＝国連教育科学文化機関の世界遺産委員会では24日から各国が推薦する候補を新たに世界遺産に登録するかを決める審議が行われています。

26日は、日本が世界文化遺産に推薦している奈良県内の飛鳥時代の遺跡群、「飛鳥・藤原の宮都」について審議が行われる予定です。

「飛鳥・藤原の宮都」は、明日香村を中心に橿原市と桜井市に広がる6世紀末から8世紀初めにかけての飛鳥時代の遺跡群で、先月、ユネスコの諮問機関が4段階ある評価のうち最も高い、世界遺産への登録がふさわしいとする「記載」の勧告をまとめており、今回、登録が決まる見通しです。

「飛鳥・藤原の宮都」が登録されれば、日本国内では、文化遺産と自然遺産あわせて27件目の世界遺産となります。
