辺野古沖転覆事故 学校法人が第三者の特別調査委を設置
京都府にある同志社国際高校の生徒たちが乗った船が沖縄県名護市辺野古沖で転覆し、生徒1人と船長が死亡した事故を受けて、高校を運営する学校法人は第三者による特別調査委員会を設置しました。
3月16日、アメリカ軍普天間基地の移設工事が行われている名護市辺野古の沖合で、研修旅行で訪れていた同志社国際高校の生徒たちを乗せた2隻の船が転覆し、17歳の女子生徒と、71歳の男性船長が死亡し、生徒12人を含む14人がけがをしました。
事故を受け、高校を運営する学校法人同志社は外部の弁護士3人で構成する特別調査委員会を設置したと公式サイトで発表しました。
それによりますと、委員会の設置は28日の理事会で決定され、研修旅行の実施プロセスの事実関係の解明や原因の分析、それに再発防止策の提言を得ることが目的だということです。
調査結果については委員会での取りまとめが完了次第、速やかに公表する予定だとしています。
