GMO、駅伝選手の"走り"を人型ロボットで再現するプロジェクト

AI・ロボティクスの社会実装を手掛けるGMO AI&ロボティクス商事は、日本トップレベルの陸上選手の走行データを活用し、完全自律走行により人間の走行動作を再現するヒューマノイドロボットの実証実験プロジェクト「GMOインターネットグループ陸上部 - GMOロボッツ」を開始した。 ヒューマノイドロボットに、2026年ニューイヤー駅伝で大会新記録での優勝を果たした、GMOインターネットグループ陸上部の選手の走行データを取り入れ、高度化を図る技術実証に取り組む。完全自律走行による人間の走行再現としては世界初の試み。 ロボットが「走る」などの基本動作を極めることは、労働や作業の基盤となる重要な技術要素になる。走行技術が確立されれば、物を運ぶ、階段を上る、障害物を避けるといった複雑な動作への応用が可能になり、実用化の幅が大きく広がる可能性がある。 また、ヒューマノイドロボットによる陸上競技の世界大会での優勝も目指す。
