国民民主党の玉木代表は記者会見で食料品の消費税減税をめぐり「税率を8％に戻す時に新たな制度で給付対象とならない一定の所得以上の人にとっては大幅な増税になってしまう。住民税を減税することとし、先行的にことしから給付を行うほうが現役世代の減税として効果が高いのではないか」と述べました。

そのうえで「中間層や現役世代を見捨てない負担軽減策や減税策を諦めずに訴えたい。15日の党首討論で高市総理大臣にしっかり伝えたい」と述べ、党が主張する住民税の減税などの実現を高市総理大臣に求める考えを示しました。
