IEA事務局長“石油備蓄はまだ十分 追加放出も必要に応じ可能”

IEA＝国際エネルギー機関のビロル事務局長は声明で加盟国が合意した過去最大規模の石油備蓄の放出に関連し、備蓄はまだ十分だとして、追加の放出について「必要に応じてさらに可能だ」と述べました。

ビロル事務局長は16日、動画による声明を発表し、日本や欧米諸国などの加盟国が合意した4億バレルの石油備蓄の放出について、供給が始まっているとして「備蓄が適時に市場に届くよう加盟国と緊密に連携している」と述べました。

そして、「今回の放出が完了しても加盟国の緊急備蓄の減少はわずか20％程度にとどまる。備蓄は14億バレル以上が残っている」と指摘した上で、追加の放出について「必要に応じてさらに可能だ」と述べました。

一方で、ビロル事務局長は「事態がさらに長期化する場合に備える必要がある。たとえホルムズ海峡があす再開したとしても、世界のエネルギーの取り引きが回復するには時間がかかると予測している」と述べて、加盟国などと連携して必要な対応を検討する考えを示しました。
