JAL、「保険」強化へライフネット生命と提携 マイル基盤を活用
日本航空(JAL)とライフネット生命保険は30日、資本業務提携を締結した。JALは、ライフネット生命の株主であるauフィナンシャルホールディングス(auFH)と株式譲渡契約を締結し、6月下旬を目途に、auFHが保有するライフネット生命の全株式(持株比率18.32%)を取得する予定。
JALでは航空事業以外の、マイル/金融・コマースなどの非航空領域を強化しており、マイルを「ためる」「つかう」シーンを拡大している。今回の提携はその一環となり、JALのブランド力と約4,100万人のJALマイレージバンク(JMB)会員などの顧客基盤、マイルなどのアセットに、ライフネット生命のオンライン生保としてのプレゼンス、パートナー提携のノウハウ、UI/UXを融合し、新たな商品・サービスを共創する。事業拡大とともに、新たな生命保険の価値提供を目指すとしている。
JALのアセットを活用した保険商品の共同開発・販売のほか、JALグループ向け団体保険の共同開発を進める。また、JALグループによるライフネット生命の保険商品の販売体制の構築なども予定している。
