「交通空白」全国で約2000地区にのぼる 国交省 対策を急ぐ方針
鉄道やバス路線の廃止で、移動手段の確保が困難となる「交通空白」と呼ばれる地区が全国でおよそ2000にのぼることが明らかになりました。調査を行った国土交通省は、対策が進んでいない地区が数多く残されているとして、対策を急ぐ方針です。
鉄道やバス路線の廃止などで住民の移動手段の確保が困難となっている「交通空白」の実態について、国土交通省は全国の自治体を対象に初めての調査を行い、その結果、710余りの市区町村であわせておよそ2050地区にのぼることが分かりました。
これは全国の市区町村のおよそ4割を占めます。
このうち650余りの地区では、ライドシェアや乗り合いタクシーの導入などの対策に着手していないということです。
さらに、510余りの市区町村のおよそ1600地区で、今後、交通空白となるおそれがあるとしています。
今回の調査結果を受けて国土交通省は、早急に対策を促す必要があるとして自治体側が求めている財政支援の強化のほか、複数の自治体が協力して移動手段を確保するための支援を検討し、対策を急ぐ方針です。
