中古車販売店 ガリバーの運営会社などに金融庁が立ち入り検査
損害保険会社に対して保険金の不正な請求が行われていた疑いがあるとして、金融庁が中古車販売店のガリバーを展開する会社など2社に立ち入り検査を行っていることがわかりました。中古車販売の業界では旧ビッグモーターによる不正請求が明らかになっていて、業界にこうした不正が広がっていないか、実態の解明を急ぐことにしています。
金融庁が立ち入り検査を行っているのは、中古車販売店ガリバーを運営している東京の「IDOM」と、名古屋に本社がある中古車販売会社「グッドスピード」です。
このうち「グッドスピード」は旧ビッグモーターによる保険金の不正請求問題を受けて去年、不適切な請求があったことを公表していますが、関係者によりますと金融庁は全容の解明には至っていないなどとして、立ち入り検査の実施を判断したということです。
また「IDOM」についても、不正な請求の疑いがあるとして立ち入り検査を行ったということです。
グッドスピードのこれまでの自主的な調査では、実際には行っていない板金や塗装の工賃などが保険会社に請求されていて、金融庁としてはこうした不正が業界で横行していなかったかを確認するとともに実態の解明を急ぐことにしています。
