三鷹発の深夜相乗りタクシー、立川・八王子・高尾・昭島まで行ける
JR東日本スタートアップとNearMe(ニアミー)は、金・土曜日の深夜帯の移動サービス「ミッドナイトシャトル三鷹」の運行エリアを8月1日に拡大する。JR三鷹駅を起点に、従来のJR中央線沿線西部、JR高尾駅周辺までの移動に加え、武蔵境駅や東小金井駅の北側エリアやJR青梅線昭島方面まで移動できるようになる。運行時間は24時～25時30分。

ミッドナイトシャトル三鷹は、終電以降のあと一駅分や、深夜帯に公共交通が途切れる区間をカバーする移動サービスとして、6月に運行を開始。複数の利用者が“シェア乗り”(相乗り)で1台の車両を利用することで、通常のタクシーよりも手頃な価格で移動できる。
料金はシェア乗りの人数により変動し、通常のタクシー料金より最安で50%の料金となる。利用時の料金は、サービスサイト上で乗車地から降車地までの走行予定ルートの距離に応じて乗車前に確定する。最大乗車人数は3名。
移動できるエリアは立川駅、八王子駅、高尾駅など三鷹駅より西側。これまではJR中央線の南側を対象エリアとしていた。サービスを提供する中で「中央線沿線の北側エリアも対応してほしい」「エリア外だったので駅で降りた」など、運行エリアの拡大を望む声が多かったことから、8月から中央線沿線の一部北側エリアやJR青梅線昭島方面を運行可能エリアに追加する。
利用方法は、ニアミーのサービスサイトから希望乗車人数や希望出発時間などの必要情報を入力、登録したメールアドレスに予約情報の確認メールや通知が届き予約完了となる。予約が成立した場合、事前に到着予定時刻・乗車場所などの案内がメールで届く。乗車希望時間の5分前まで予約可能。乗車場所はJR三鷹駅南口の3番乗り場付近。
なお、予約が不成立となるケースもあり、その際にはその旨を伝えるメールが届く。またシェア乗りが不成立になったことによる予約キャンセルはなく、通常のタクシーとして運行する。
ミッドナイトシャトル三鷹は実証実験としての取り組みで、運行期間は9月27日までを予定している。
