ランタンの明かりのもと 夜の茶摘みを楽しむ催し 静岡 掛川
新茶の収穫の時期を迎え、茶の生産が盛んな静岡県掛川市では10日夜、ランタンの明かりのもと茶摘みを楽しむ催しが開かれました。
この催しは、毎年この時期に掛川市内の山あいの茶園で行われているもので、10日夜は、曇り空で月は見えませんでしたが、100人余りが参加しました。
茶園にはランタンが用意され、緑色に芽吹いた「おくひかり」という品種の茶がやわらかな明かりに照らし出されました。
参加した人たちは、幻想的な雰囲気のなか、新茶の先端を丁寧に摘み取っていました。
東京で日本茶のインストラクターをしているという女性は、「夜の茶摘みは、幻想的ですごく楽しいです。摘んだお茶はお湯出しと水出しの両方で飲んでみようと思います」と話していました。
1時間ほどかけて摘み取られた茶葉のうち、30キロ余りは地元の工場で製茶したあと、参加者に郵送されるということです。
