食料品の消費税減税をめぐり、自民党は税制調査会の幹部会合を開き、具体的な制度設計に向けた議論を始めました。

小野寺税制調査会長は、9月半ばまでに税制改正大綱をまとめたいという考えを示しました。

政府が先に食料品の消費税率を来年4月から2年間、1％とするなどとした基本方針を決めたことを受けて、自民党は25日午前、税制調査会の幹部会合を開いて具体的な制度設計に向けた議論を開始し、財務省の担当者が案を示しました。

この中では、税率を1％にする対象は、現在、8％の軽減税率が適用されている食料品とし、「新聞」は対象にしないとしています。

また現在は、消費税を含めて価格を表示する「総額表示」が法律で義務づけられていますが、事業者から「税率の変更に伴う値札の貼り替えなどの作業が間に合わない」といった指摘が出ていることを踏まえ、総額を表示しなくてもよい特例を設けるなどとしています。

25日の会合では、こうした案に異論は出ず、引き続き与党内で検討を進めることになりました。

小野寺税制調査会長は記者団に対し「高市総理大臣は臨時国会に法案を提出し早期成立を目指すとしており、党内でしっかり議論を進めたい」と述べ、9月半ばまでに税制改正大綱をまとめたいという考えを示しました。
