ブガッティW16 ミストラル フライ・バグ登場！ 価格は10億円超か
99台のみの限定生産モデルがスゴい！
4月30日、ブガッティは、「W16 ミストラル “Fly Bug”（フライ・バグ）」を発表した。 W16 ミストラル フライ・バグは、ブガッティのビスポーク（特別注文）部門である「シュール・ムジュール」が手掛けた、希少なワンオフモデル。「ヴェイロン・グランスポール・ヴィテッセ “Hellbug”」、「シロン “Hellbee”」、「ディーヴォ “Lady Bug”」に続く、自然界の昆虫をテーマとした4部作の完結編となる1台だ。
モチーフとして選ばれたのはトンボである。エクステリアは、「ドラゴンフライ・ブルー」と名付けられた特注のボディカラーを採用。光の当たり具合や見る角度によってブルーからターコイズへと色合いが変化し、トンボの羽が持つ神秘的な輝きとグラデーションを再現したという。 エクステリア全体には楕円形（エリプス）のグラフィックパターンが緻密に施されている。フロントからリアに向かって徐々に密度を増しながら、最後はブラックのエアインテークへと自然に溶け込んでいく。ホイールもボディカラーに合わせてカラーリング。ブガッティの象徴であるマカロンエンブレムが、ブランド史上初めてペイントグラフィック内に直接組み込まれた。
インテリアは、アルカンターラの上にレザーを重ねた独自の多層素材を採用。立体的な幾何学模様がキャビン内にあしらわれている。複雑な曲面を持つドアパネルやアームレストにまで楕円形のパターンが施された。 ギアセレクターの内部には、自然界への敬意とブランドの歴史を象徴するレンブラント・ブガッティの“踊る象”の彫刻が収められた。
心臓部には、ベースとなるW16 ミストラルと同様に、8.0リッターW型16気筒クワッドターボエンジンを搭載。最高出力1600ps（1578hp）を誇り、オープンモデルでありながら最高速度は450km/h超を記録する。 本エンジンを搭載する最後のロードスターモデルとして、全体でわずか99台のみが限定生産される。
W16 ミストラル フライ・バグは完全なワンオフの特注モデルであるため、最終的な販売価格は非公表だ。 しかし、ベース車両であるW16 ミストラルのスタート価格は500万ユーロに設定されている。これを現在の為替レート（1ユーロ＝約165円で換算）に基づいて日本円に換算すると、ベース車両のみで約8億2500万円。これにシュール・ムジュールによる数カ月に及ぶ特注塗料の開発費や、複雑な専用内装の製作費が上乗せされるため、実際の総額はこれを大幅に上回る、10億円に迫るかそれを超える価格になるのは想像に難くない。
