奈良 桜井市に3億3000万円相当の金の延べ板 市内男性から寄贈
奈良県桜井市は、金の延べ板20キロ、金額にして3億3000万円相当を市内の男性から寄贈されたと発表しました。寄贈した男性は、能登半島地震を受けて、災害時の避難所の環境整備などに使ってほしいと希望しているということで、市は事業を検討することにしています。
桜井市によりますと、ことし2月、市内に住む70代の男性から「金を市に寄贈したい」と申し出があり、1キロの金の延べ板20枚、総重量20キロ、金額にして3億3000万円相当が寄贈されたということです。
金の延べ板は、男性が長年にわたって購入してきたものだということで、個人からの寄贈としては最高額だということです。
男性は「能登半島地震の避難所の状況などをみて何かできないかと思った。避難所のトイレの環境整備や防災対策などに役立ててほしい」と話していたということです。
桜井市の松井正剛市長は「本人の意向に応えられるよう事業を検討し活用していきたい」と話していて、早ければ9月の市議会に金の延べ板を売却する議案を提出することにしています。
