小泉農相“5年保管備蓄米 一定量を主食用で安値販売も選択肢”
小泉農林水産大臣は、これまで5年程度保管したあと主に家畜の餌向けに販売してきた備蓄米のうち、一定量を主食用として安値で販売することも選択肢になるという見方を示しました。
政府が保有する備蓄米をめぐって、農林水産省は、放出が遅れたことが価格の高騰を招いたとして、業界関係者や有識者による検討会を新たに設けて運用の見直しを検討していくことにしています。
これについて、小泉農林水産大臣は9日の閣議のあとの記者会見で、随意契約による備蓄米の価格に触れ「5キロ・2000円で買えないと苦しいという方に対して、一定量販売する機会を提供できるかなどさまざまな選択肢はある」と述べました。
そのうえで「議論しなければいけないのは、今回の備蓄米の放出で浮かび上がったさまざまな課題を整理することだ」と述べ、これまで5年程度保管したあと主に家畜の餌向けに販売してきた備蓄米のうち、一定量を主食用として安値で販売することも選択肢に課題を議論すべきだという見方を示しました。
