赤間防災担当大臣は先月発生した岩手県大槌町の山林火災の現場を視察し、「局地激甚災害」への指定を急ぐ考えを示しました。

赤間防災担当大臣は16日午後、大槌町役場を訪れて平野公三町長と面会し、山林火災による災害廃棄物の早期処理に向けた財政支援などを求める要望書を受け取りました。

そして、赤間大臣は山林火災の現場などを視察し、火災が拡大した状況や消火活動の方法、それに住民の避難について説明を受けました。

このあと赤間大臣は記者団に対し、指定される見込みとなっている「局地激甚災害」について、「視察でも『速やかに』という声をいただいたので、内部で検討しながらしっかりと対応できるようにしたい」と述べ、指定を急ぐ考えを示しました。
