マダニ媒介感染症SFTS 患者150人超に“どの地域でも可能性が”
マダニが媒介する感染症、SFTS＝「重症熱性血小板減少症候群」の患者の報告が続いていて、ことしの全国の患者数は速報値で152人となりました。去年まで報告がなかった地域にも広がっていて、専門家は「どの地域でも患者が出る可能性があり、医療機関は警戒を高めてほしい」と呼びかけています。
SFTSは、主に原因となるウイルスを持つマダニに刺されることで感染する病気で、重症化すると血液中の血小板が減少して出血が止まらなくなったり、意識障害が起きたりして死亡することもあり、厚生労働省によりますと死亡する患者の割合は10％から30％に上るとされています。
国立健康危機管理研究機構によりますと、9月7日までに全国から報告された患者数は速報値で152人となり、これまで最も多かったおととしの累計を上回って増え続けています。
患者が報告されているのは32道府県で、いずれも累計で、
▽高知県で14人
▽大分県で13人
▽長崎県、熊本県で9人
▽兵庫県、島根県、鹿児島県で8人など、
西日本を中心に多くなっていますが、去年まで報告がなかった北海道や関東地方にも広がっています。
専門家「どの地域でも患者が出る可能性がある」
長崎大学病院総合感染症科の泉川公一教授はマダニに刺されないよう野外で肌の露出を減らすなどの対策が重要だとした上で「医療機関はどの地域でもSFTSの患者を診察する可能性を踏まえて警戒を高めてほしい。国内でも医療現場でのヒトからヒトへの感染が報告されているので、手袋やゴーグル、ガウンといった標準的な予防策を実践することが必要だ」と話しています。
