ナビタイムジャパンは、Android向け「NAVITIME」で、ピクチャーインピクチャー(PiP)を活用したナビゲーション機能の提供を開始した。動画やSNSなど別のアプリを使いながら、移動に必要な情報を小窓で確認できる。 駅の出口を出た後の進行方向や、乗り換えまでの残り駅数、バスの降車停留所、徒歩区間の進行方向などを表示。地図やナビゲーション画面を常時表示するのではなく、移動状況に応じて画面を切り替え、迷いやすいポイントに絞って案内する。小窓でも直感的に把握できるよう、アイコンや図を用いたUIを採用した。 iOS向けには、ライブアクティビティを活用した同様の機能を2025年7月から提供している。今回の開発にあわせ、駅出入口情報の対象を従来の610駅から、全国すべての地下鉄680駅に拡大した。 利用にはプレミアム会員(月額500円)以上のコースへの登録が必要。11月30日までは、期間限定で無料のお試し期間を設ける。
