STORES、Googleに在庫情報を自動表示
STORESは、Google 検索やGoogle マップ上のGoogle ビジネス プロフィールに実店舗の在庫情報を自動表示する「店舗在庫表示」機能の提供を開始した。STORESレジ利用者であれば無料で利用でき、プランを問わず対象。利用には「Google Merchant Center」と「Google ビジネス プロフィール」のアカウントが必要となる。
利用店舗の商品や在庫情報がGoogle 検索やGoogle マップに無料で掲載される。広告費をかけずに露出を拡大でき、購買意欲の高い顧客を実店舗へ誘導しやすくなる。STORESによると、先行導入した店舗では、Google ビジネス プロフィールの「ルート検索」クリック数や「Webサイト」クリック数がいずれも掲載前より約15%増加したという。
背景には、スマートフォンの普及に伴い「今すぐほしい」「近くで買いたい」といった即時性の高いニーズが一般化していることがある。一方で事業者は複数の販売チャネルごとに在庫データを管理する必要があり、運用負担が課題となっていた。STORESは23年から「Googleで集客」機能を提供しており、今回の新機能でさらに実店舗集客を支援する。
また、STORESはGoogleが提供する公式プログラム「Google Local Feeds Partnership(Google LFP)」において、Trusted Partnerに認定された。通常、事業者が在庫情報をGoogle ビジネス プロフィールに掲載するには独自にデータフィードを作成・登録する必要があるが、認定パートナーを通じれば自動で掲載可能となる。
