石川 珠洲 市民ランナーのマラソン大会 規模縮小し6年ぶり開催
石川県珠洲市で開かれていた市民ランナーのマラソン大会が規模を縮小して6年ぶりに開催され、全国から集まった人たちが能登半島地震の爪痕が残る珠洲市内を走りました。
6年ぶりに開かれた大会には全国の市民ランナー114人が参加し、中心部の珠洲市飯田町を出発して能登半島の先端にある「禄剛埼灯台」で折り返す全長35キロのコースに挑みました。
参加者は午前9時すぎに合図とともにスタートすると道路のひび割れなど地震の爪痕が残る珠洲市内を駆け抜けていきました。
2012年から2019年まで開かれていた「能登半島すずウルトラマラソン」は、運営メンバーが高齢になりいったん途絶えましたが、復活を望む声が寄せられたため、住民の有志が再び集まり、被災地の現状を知ってもらいたいという願いも込めて復活させました。
ただ、利用できる宿泊施設が限られ、道路事情もよくないことから、参加者を絞り、フルマラソンより短い35キロのコースにしたということです。
石川県加賀市から参加した51歳の男性は「暑かったですが沿道の応援が励みになりました。道路にひびが入っていたり建物が倒壊したりしていましたが、建設中の建物もあり、復興に向けて頑張っている様子が感じられたのでまた来たいと思います」と話していました。
