通信技術「フェリカ」のぜい弱性 事業者「安全性に問題ない」
交通系ICカードなどに幅広く使われている通信技術「フェリカ」の一部のICチップにセキュリティーのぜい弱性が見つかった問題について、サービスを提供する事業者からは「安全性に問題はない」という見解が相次いでいて、開発元のソニーは、引き続き状況の確認や今後の対応策を検討しています。
ソニーが開発した「フェリカ」は専用のICチップを搭載したカードやスマートフォンをかざすだけで高速データ通信ができる技術で、2017年以前に出荷された一部のICチップについてセキュリティーのぜい弱性が見つかりました。
「フェリカ」は交通系ICカードや電子マネーの決済などに幅広く使われていて、このうちJR東日本は「Suica」について「独自のセキュリティー対策でチャージや決済は安全に利用できる」としているほか、JR西日本も「ICOCA」について「残高や運賃の管理はサーバー側でセキュリティーを構築しているため問題はない」としています。
また「WAON」を提供するイオンも「独自のセキュリティーを設け、二重にロックをかけている状態なので、安全性に問題はない」という見解を示したほか、「nanaco」を展開するセブン・カードサービスは「遠隔でアクセスされるものではないので、大きな問題はないと考えている。残高の不自然な動きなどは日々監視している」としています。
開発元のソニーは、サービスを提供する事業者に対して、安全に利用できるかどうか状況の確認を進めるとともに、今後の対応策を検討しています。
