自営業者などが加入する「国民健康保険」の2024年度の決算は、保険料収入が11年ぶりに増加に転じたものの、実質的な収支は235億円の赤字となりました。

厚生労働省は、都道府県と市区町村が運営し、自営業者などが加入する「国民健康保険」の令和6年度・2024年度の決算をまとめました。

それによりますと、全国の加入者数は、前の年度から105万人減って2204万人と過去最少を更新しました。

保険料収入は、1人あたりの保険料額が増えたことなどから、356億円増えて2兆4053億円と、11年ぶりに前の年度を上回りました。

この結果、全体の実質的な収支は235億円の赤字で、4年連続のマイナスとなっています。

「国民健康保険」は加入者の4割以上を65歳から74歳までの高齢者が占めていて、平均所得が低い一方、1人あたりの医療費が高く、厳しい財政状況が続いています。

厚生労働省は「医療費の適正化などを進め、持続可能な財政運営に努めていく」としています。
