埼玉 行田 下水道管点検で4人死亡事故 市が再発防止策検討へ
今月2日、埼玉県行田市で下水道管の点検中に作業員4人が硫化水素中毒などで死亡した事故について、行田市は、今後、再発防止策を検討することを明らかにしました。
今月2日、行田市で、下水道管の点検中に、50代の作業員4人がマンホールの中で硫化水素の中毒や中毒にともなう窒息で死亡しました。
行田市の行田邦子市長は、26日開かれた定例記者会見で「発注者として事故を重く受け止めている。二度とこのような悲惨な事故が起きないように国や県からも助言をもらいながら市として再発防止策を検討したい」と話しました。
一方で、国に対しては、「現場を指揮する作業員になるために必要な講習などをより厳しいものにしたり、ドローンを使用した点検作業を推進したりするなど安全対策を考えてほしい」と述べました。
また、今回の事故は、ことし1月、八潮市で起きた大規模な道路陥没を受けて国が全国の自治体に要請した下水道管の点検をしている際に起きました。
市は、事故現場周辺の点検については、業者から契約解除の申し出があったことから、今後、対応を検討するとともに、そのほか点検を行う予定だった総延長およそ4キロの下水道管については、入札に向けた手続きを進めているということです。
