古くて新しい時計の正解はセイコーで見つかる──キングセイコー、クレドール、グランドセイコー
アーカイブを忠実に再現するなど、近年は古くて新しい時計が充実。ヘリテージデザインを現代的に解釈したセイコーウオッチの傑作ピースを厳選紹介する。
“デカ厚”のようなビッグ・トレンドが見当たらない近年の時計業界。各社はアーカイブを見直して、復刻や周年モデルで独自性を表現することに積極的だ。ヴィンテージ感のあるモデル全盛のなか、ストーリー性のある傑作を揃えたのがセイコーウオッチである。
1972年のアーカイブを見直したのはキングセイコー。「VANAC」は約72時間のパワーリザーブを誇る「キャリバー8L45」を搭載して復活した。
2024年に限定モデルとして「ロコモティブ」を復活させたクレドールは、今年ブライトチタン製のレギュラーモデルを発売している。
復刻系と異なるアプローチを見せたのはグランドセイコーだ。初の自動巻きメカニカルモデル「62GS」を現代的に解釈した新作は桜の花を雪が覆い隠す情景を文字盤で表現した。
控えめで静か─セイコーらしい「クワイエット・ラグジュアリー」を象徴する傑作が出揃った。
