7人が死亡した熊本県嘉島町のショッピングセンター「イオンモール熊本」での警察や消防による捜索活動は、1日正午に終了しました。警察によりますと、現場を複数回、目視で確認するなどした結果、取り残されている人はいないと判断したということです。

地震後に爆発が起きた熊本県嘉島町のショッピングセンター「イオンモール熊本」では、7人が死亡、5人がけがをしました。

警察などは取り残された人がいないか確認するため、1日も被害が大きい建物の中央部分を重点的に重機でがれきを取り除くなど捜索を行いました。

熊本県によりますと、警察や消防による捜索活動は、1日正午に終了したということです。

警察によりますと、安否がわからない人の相談が寄せられていないことや、現場を複数回、目視で確認するなどした結果、取り残されている人はいないと判断したということです。

捜索の終了を受けて熊本県の木村知事は「多くの方の命が失われ、ご遺族に心より哀悼の意を表したい。また、救助活動に携わった自衛隊、警察、消防に感謝を申し上げたい」と話していました。
