秋田市では14日、大雨の影響で市内の住宅地で道路が冠水し、通行しようとした車が引き返す様子や、マンホールのふたが水に浮いている様子が見られました。また、家の前の駐車場にとめていた車がタイヤの半分ほどまで水につかっていました。

冠水した道路に入り、車が動かなくなったという70代の男性は「車で抜けようとしたら、じゃぶじゃぶと雨につかり、止まってしまった。道路が水であふれているのを見たのは初めてで、びっくりしました」と話していました。

自宅の駐車場が10センチほど水につかったという80代の女性は、「3年前の大雨を思い出す。早く雨がやんでほしい」と話していました。

また、潟上市内の住宅地に設置されたカメラでは、14日午前10時半前、住宅地の道路が冠水し、車が走るたびに道路にたまった水が波打つ様子がみられました。
