“魚沼産コシヒカリ 品質や収穫量は例年どおりに”新潟 湯沢町
これから収穫が本格化するコシヒカリの生育状況などについて話し合う会議が2日、新潟県湯沢町で開かれ、JAの担当者が例年どおりの品質や収穫量が見込まれることなどを報告しました。
会議にはJAや自治体の担当者、コメの卸売業者など、およそ70人が参加しました。
この中で、JAみなみ魚沼の担当者がことしの魚沼産コシヒカリについて、気温が上がったときに稲が栄養不足にならないよう肥料を追加でまくよう農家に指導したほか、穂が出る時期に暑さがやわらいだことなどから、例年どおりの品質や収穫量が見込まれるのではないかと述べました。
また、JA全農新潟県本部が農家に前払いで支払う「概算金」の目安を大幅に引き上げたことを説明しました。
このあとの意見交換で、卸売業者からは「消費者が離れてしまわないようJAには品質の維持、向上の取り組みをしてほしい」といった声が上がっていました。
魚沼米対策協議会の井口啓一会長は「農家がこれまでの経験をいかしてコメ作りに取り組んだ結果だ。厳しい暑さなどに対応してくれた農家に感謝している」と話していました。
