10月17日、日産の北米法人は、新型「ムラーノ」を発表した。10年ぶりのフルモデルチェンジだ。
新型ムラーノのエクステリアは、ピュアEV（電気自動車）の「アリア」を彷彿とさせる流麗でスタイリッシュなデザインが特徴だ。薄型の灯火類や、新意匠のフロントグリルなどを新採用。リヤワイパーとテールパイプを目立たないようにしたのも特徴だ。
インテリアは異なる材質・カラーのトリムを組み合わせることで、個性を高めた。上級仕様ではBoseサウンドシステム、セミアニリンレザー、ヘッドアップディスプレイ、マッサージ機能付きフロントシートなどを装備し快適性を高める。
インパネ上部の 12.3インチ・インフォテインメントタッチスクリーンはワイヤレスのApple CarPlayおよびAndroid Autoに対応する。
搭載するパワートレインも刷新。従来設定のあったV6＋CVTは廃止し、替わりに2.0リッターの直列4気筒ガソリンターボエンジンに、9ATを組み合わせる。駆動方式はFWD（前輪駆動）が標準で、4WDはオプションだ。
新型ムラーノの価格は今後明かされる。日本導入は不明だ。
