警察庁は9月4日、令和8（2026）年7月末における特殊詐欺の認知・検挙状況等についての暫定値を発表した。
令和8（2026）年7月末における特殊詐欺の認知件数は26,051件で前年同期比+3,709件、被害額は2,108.1億円で前年同期比+632.8億円となっている。
手口別の認知件数・被害額はそれぞれ下記の通り。
・SNS型投資詐欺 認知件数：6,566件（前年同期比+2,827件/+75.6％） 被害額：881.2億円（前年同期比+413.9億円/+88.6％）
・ニセ警察詐欺 認知件数：5,422件（前年同期比□368件/□6.4％） 被害額：617.1億円（前年同期比+126.1億円/+25.7％）
・SNS型ロマンス詐欺 認知件数：3,037件（前年同期比+61件/+2.0％） 被害額：293.2億円（前年同期比+14.9億円/+5.3％）
・架空料金請求詐欺 認知件数：3,688件（前年同期比+443件/+13.7％） 被害額：86.5億円（前年同期比+10.7億円/+14.1％）
・オレオレ詐欺 認知件数：2,350件（前年同期比+344件/+17.1％） 被害額：84.2億円（前年同期比+5.5億円/+7.0％）
・還付金詐欺 認知件数：1,757件（前年同期比□312件/□15.1％） 被害額：40.7億円（前年同期比+1.8億円/+4.7％）
・交際あっせん詐欺 認知件数：392件（前年同期比+185件/+89.4％） 被害額：13.0億円（前年同期比+6.7億円/+105.8％）
・キャッシュカード詐欺盗 認知件数：908件（前年同期比+211件/+30.3％） 被害額：9.8億円（前年同期比+1.6億円/+19.3％）
・金融商品詐欺 認知件数：239件（前年同期比+148件/+162.6％） 被害額：24.6億円（前年同期比+12.8億円/+107.7％）
・融資保証金詐欺 認知件数：221件（前年同期比□25件/□10.2％） 被害額：1.3億円（前年同期比□1.0億円/□43.3％）
・預貯金詐欺 認知件数：587件（前年同期比□469件/□44.4％） 被害額：5.4億円（前年同期比□6.2億円/□53.3％）
・ギャンブル詐欺 認知件数：26件（前年同期比+8件/+44.4％） 被害額：0.8億円（前年同期比□0.3億円/□27.1％）
・その他の特殊詐欺 認知件数：858件（前年同期比+656件/+324.8％） 被害額：50.3億円（前年同期比+46.4億円/+1,177.0％）
