母の日前に 鉢植えカーネーション 全国発送始まる 宮城
5月11日の母の日を前に、鉢植えカーネーションの産地として知られる宮城県柴田町で、9日から全国への発送が始まりました。
柴田町は東北地方でも有数の鉢植えカーネーションの産地で、母の日を前にしたこの時期に8軒の生産農家が合わせて6万鉢以上を出荷しています。
町では、カーネーションの全国への発送が9日から始まり、みやぎ仙南農協本店では生産者などが集まってテープカットを行い、第1便の出発を祝いました。
地元の生産農家によりますと、ことしは春先に気温の高い日が多かったため順調に生育し、まだつぼみが多い状態ですが、日当たりのよい場所で育てると1か月以上はきれいな花を楽しめるということです。
柴田鉢花研究会の齋藤達義部会長は「ことしも大きくてきれいなカーネーションがたくさんできました。お母さんや大切な人に贈ってください」と話していました。
