春の全国交通安全運動 警視総監が小学1年生に指導 東京
6日から始まった「春の全国交通安全運動」に合わせ、東京 台東区の小学校では警視庁のトップ、迫田裕治警視総監が、入学したばかりの新1年生に横断歩道の安全な渡り方を指導しました。
台東区の平成小学校で行われた横断訓練には、入学式を終えたばかりの新1年生46人とその保護者が参加しました。
はじめに迫田警視総監が、横断歩道を渡るときは信号を必ず守ることや、信号が青になってもすぐには渡らず、左右をしっかり確認することを呼びかけました。
このあと児童たちは近くの横断歩道に移動し、警視総監や保護者と手をつなぎ、左右を確認してからまっすぐに手を上げて渡っていました。
新1年生の植木咲人さん（6）は「楽しかったです。右を見て左を見て、気をつけて渡ります」と話していました。
去年までの5年間に都内で歩行者が巻き込まれた交通事故では、7歳の子ども425人が死傷し、すべての年齢の中で最も多くなっているということで、警視庁は通学路での新入生の安全確保を強化することにしています。
