“香港民主活動家 シンガポールが入国拒否” 香港メディアなど
香港メディアなどは、香港国家安全維持法に反対してイギリスに亡命している民主活動家、羅冠聡氏が、会議に出席するためシンガポールの空港に到着したところ、入国を拒否されたと伝えました。
羅冠聡氏は2014年に香港で起きた民主的な選挙の実現を求める大規模な抗議活動「雨傘運動」のリーダーの1人で、2020年に施行された香港国家安全維持法に反対してイギリスに亡命し、民主化運動への支持を国際社会に訴える活動を続けています。
香港の英字紙「サウスチャイナ・モーニングポスト」などによりますと、羅氏は会議に出席するため今月27日に滞在先のアメリカからシンガポールの空港に到着しましたが、当局から数時間にわたって事情を聞かれた末、入国を拒否され、アメリカに戻ったということです。
羅氏は事前にシンガポールのビザを取得していたということですが、シンガポール内務省は「羅氏の入国はシンガポールの国益にならない」と説明しているということです。
羅氏について香港の捜査当局は、香港国家安全維持法違反の疑いなどで指名手配していて、「外国勢力と結託し国家の安全を脅かす活動を続けている」として海外で活動する民主派への締めつけを強めています。
