日産、横浜みなとみらいで無人運転走行 市街地では日本初
日産は、日本におけるモビリティサービスの開始に向け、市街地では日本初となる、運転席が無人の状態での走行を横浜市みなとみらい地区で公開した。実験車は自社で独自開発したもの。

「セレナ」をベースにした実験車両で、従来の実験車両「リーフ」に対して性能が向上したカメラ、レーダー、ライダーを採用。ルーフに搭載されたセンサー類は、セレナの全高を活かし検出エリアを広げながらより高精度の検出を可能とした。
AIを活用した車外環境の認識や行動予測による判断と制御機能も進化。よりスムーズな走行が可能となった。ルート上で遭遇しうるさまざまなシーンを検証しながら、冗長性をもたせたシステム構成とし、異常時の即時停車機能を持つ。これにより、車内に運転者がいない状況でも安全性が確保される。
日産は、2017年度から自動運転モビリティサービスの実証実験を行なっており、2025年度下期から2026年度にかけて、横浜市で約20台を運用する大規模なサービス実証実験の実施を予定。現在は、関連事業者と共に運営体制とサービスエコシステムの構築を進めている。2027年度には自治体や交通事業者などの関係者と協議し、遠隔監視設備を備えた自動運転レベル4によるモビリティサービスの提供を目指す。
