敬老の日 温泉施設で湯船に小学生から感謝のメッセージ
9月15日は敬老の日です。松山市の温泉施設では、小学生たちがお年寄りをいたわるメッセージなどを書き込んだヒノキの板を湯船に浮かべる催しが行われています。
松山市の温泉施設では敬老の日にあわせて男湯と女湯の湯船に小学生からのメッセージが書かれた直径9センチほどのヒノキの板、あわせて100枚を浮かべる催しを行っています。
このうち、男湯の露天風呂には、「ずっと元気でね」とか「いつもお疲れ様です」などといったお年寄りへのいたわりや感謝などのメッセージの板が浮かび、入浴した人たちは一つ一つ手に取ってメッセージを読み、爽やかなヒノキの香りとともに日頃の疲れをいやしていました。
愛媛県西条市から訪れた75歳の男性は「『元気でいてね』とか『頑張ってね』など印象に残ることばがたくさんあり、元気が出ました」と話していました。
温泉施設の合田慎マネージャーは「子どもたちからのメッセージを読んでもらい身も心も温まってほしい」と話していました。
65歳以上の高齢者 29.4％で過去最高 働く高齢者も930万人と最多
総人口に占める65歳以上の高齢者の割合は29.4％と過去最高になり、働く高齢者の数も930万人と過去最多を更新しました。
総務省がまとめた15日現在の人口推計では、65歳以上の高齢者は3619万人と、去年と比べ5万人減りました。
男性は1568万人、女性が2051万人で、女性が男性より483万人多くなっています。
65歳以上の人口が減るのは、おととし2023年に次いで、比較可能な1950年以降2回目です。
一方、総人口に占める高齢者の割合は29.4％と、去年から0.1ポイント上がって過去最高となりました。
また、総務省が行った労働力調査によりますと、働く高齢者の数は、去年、930万人と前の年から16万人増え、過去最多を更新しました。
65歳以上の就業率は、去年、25.7％で、前の年から0.5ポイント上がりました。

総務省は「人手不足や定年延長などにより、高齢者が活躍する場が増えているので、今後も働く高齢者が増えていくとみられる」としています。
