奈良の落雷事故受け県高野連が球場に探知機 試合中断など判断
奈良市にある学校のグラウンドに雷が落ち、部活動をしていた生徒6人が病院に搬送された事故を受けて、奈良県高校野球連盟は26日から球場に雷の探知機を設置し、安全対策を強化しています。
今月10日、奈良市にある学校法人帝塚山学園のグラウンドに雷が落ち、生徒6人が病院に搬送され、このうちサッカー部に所属する男子中学生2人が意識不明の状態となりました。
奈良県によりますと、このうち1人はその後、意識が回復したということです。
この事故を受けて、奈良県高校野球連盟は、現在行われている春の高校野球奈良大会で選手の安全確保の対策を強化することを決め、26日から球場に雷の探知機を設置しました。
探知機は、最大で64キロ先の雷を検知してアラームで知らせるもので、距離が近づくにつれて警告音が変化します。
これまでは、雷の発生を目視や気象予報で確認していましたが、今後は探知機も利用して試合の中断などを判断するということです。
奈良県高校野球連盟の松谷征吾専務理事は「特に夏の大会では、昼以降の試合で急激に天候が変わることもあるので、探知機を活用して安全確保につとめたい」と話していました。
