米財務省 イラン産原油など一部は一時的に取り引き認める
ホルムズ海峡の事実上の封鎖に伴って原油価格が高騰する中、アメリカ財務省は20日、制裁の対象としているイラン産の原油や石油製品について、海上輸送中のものに限り、来月19日まで一時的に各国に取り引きを認めると発表しました。
ベッセント財務長官はSNSへの投稿で、今回の措置によって世界の原油市場におよそ1億4000万バレルが供給されると指摘したうえで「イランによって引き起こされた一時的な供給ひっ迫を緩和させる」としています。
一方、今回の措置でイラン側が収益を得るのは難しいと主張し、「アメリカはイランへの最大限の圧力を維持し続ける」としています。
トランプ政権は今月12日、ロシア産の原油に対しても海上輸送中のものに限り、制裁を一時的に解除しています。
