OpenAI、“EQ”が高い新モデル「GPT-4.5」 「生まれつき賢い」
OpenAIは27日(米国時間)、最新のAIモデル「GPT-4.5」の研究プレビュー版を提供開始した。教師なし学習を拡張することで、GPT‑4.5はパターン認識能力や関連付け、クリエイティブな洞察を、推論なしで向上させている。

まずはChatGPT Pro(月額200ドル)ユーザー向けが利用可能となり、来週からChatGPT Plus/Teamユーザーに、再来週からEnterpriseとEduユーザーに展開する。
o1やo3 miniなど、OpenAIでは長く考える推論モデルも強化しているが、GPT-4.5は、計算能力とデータ拡張、アーキテクチャと最適化の革新により、幅広い知識ベースと深い世界理解を可能とした。そのため、ユーザーの意図をより正確に把握でき、「EQ」が高く、文章の改善、プログラミング、実用的な問題の解決などのタスクに役立つという。
またGPT-4.5では、多くのトピックにおいてハルシネーション(誤った回答)を減らし、信頼性を向上している。動作も高速で、長く考えるo1などの推論モデルよりも“直感”的に反応し、「生まれつきより賢いモデル」とする。
GPT‑4.5では人が扱いやすく、ニュアンスの理解や自然な会話を改善。GPT-4oとGPT-4.5の比較では、GPT-4.5は、テストに落ちた人に優しい言葉をかけながら励ます(落胆するものだけど、それは一瞬のことなんだ。君自身や君の能力を反映したものではないことを覚えておいて。)回答がみられる。一方のGPT-4oは、「何がうまくいかなかったのかを分析」「信頼できる友人、家族と相談しよう」など、正しそうだが人の気持ちを考慮しない回答をしている。
このようにユーザーの意図や文脈を理解した、「EQ」が高い回答を行なうのがGPT-4.5の特徴の一つで、「ユーザーにさらなる情報を提供すべき時と、会話を促すべき時を区別できる」としている。
また、「宇宙探査についてどう思いますか?」といった質問に対して、「宇宙探査は単に価値がだけでなく、不可欠です。」と応じて、その理由を簡潔に会話的に回答してくれる。GPT-4oでは「宇宙探査は、人類が取り組んできた最も野心的で深遠な取り組みのひとつ」など、説明的な回答を行なっている。
多くのベンチマークにおいてもGPT-4oを上回っているが、o3-miniなどには及ばない結果になっている。サム・アルトマンCEOは、「推論モデルではなくベンチマークを求めたものではない。異なる種類の知性(インテリジェンス)であり、これまで感じたことがない魔法がある」とXに投稿している。
