千葉県での記録的な豪雨を受けて、赤間防災担当大臣は21日、千葉市の被災地を視察し、都市型水害の被害実態を踏まえ、復旧復興の支援を急ぐ考えを示しました。

被災後初めてとなった訪問で、赤間大臣は、豪雨で道路ののり面が大きく崩れて道路が塞がっている千葉市緑区の現場や、水につかって動かなくなった車を集めた千葉市役所の駐車場にある仮置き場を視察しました。

このあと、千葉県の熊谷知事や千葉市の神谷市長と会談し、被災状況や今後の対応をめぐって意見を交わしました。

視察のあと赤間大臣は記者団に対し「都市型水害の特徴的な被害について重く受け止めた。今後どう対応していくかのか、政府としてしっかりと検討し、速やかに対応していきたい」と述べ、都市型水害の被害実態を踏まえ、復旧復興の支援を急ぐ考えを示しました。
