和歌山 世界遺産 熊野那智大社で「桜花祭」 五穀豊じょう祈る
和歌山県那智勝浦町の世界遺産「熊野那智大社」で、桜の花を供えて五穀豊じょうを祈る「桜花祭」が行われました。
「桜花祭」は、平安時代に那智山で修行した花山法皇が桜の美しさに感銘を受け、和歌に詠んだという故事にちなんで、毎年この時期に行われています。
14日は熊野那智大社のご神体である那智の滝の前に桜の枝が供えられ、宮司が五穀豊じょうを祈って、祝詞をあげました。
そして、桜のかんざしをつけたみこが笛や太鼓の音に合わせて優雅な舞を奉納し、訪れた人たちは写真を撮るなどしてその様子を楽しんでいました。
大阪府から訪れた90代の女性は「祭りを見ることができてうれしいです。厳かな舞はとても美しかったです」と話していました。
熊野那智大社の男成洋三宮司は「天気にも恵まれ、桜花祭を行うことができてよかった。境内にはまだ満開の桜もあるので、散る前にぜひ見に来てほしい」と話していました。
