Yahoo!メール、なりすましメールにブランドアイコンが表示される事象の注意喚起
LINEヤフー株式会社は4月14日、なりすましメールにブランドアイコンが表示されているものがある事象について、注意喚起を発表した。
同社によると、本来は安全を証明するための「正規の認証情報」を、悪意ある第三者がコピーして再利用するという特殊な攻撃が確認されており、「このメールは◯◯より送信されたことが確認されています」というブランドアイコンやブランドカラーが表示されているメールの中に、一部なりすましメールが含まれている場合があるという。
なお本件は、Yahoo!メールからの情報漏えいやシステムの不具合によるものではない。
同社では、これから送信されるメールについて、問題が確認された送信元の企業のブランドアイコンを一定期間非表示にする対応を行うとのこと。
同社ではユーザーに対し、下記に注意するよう呼びかけている。
・メール内のリンクや添付ファイルは、内容を十分に確認したうえで操作 ・ログイン情報や個人情報の入力を求めるメールには特に注意する ・不審に感じた場合は、公式サイトやアプリから直接アクセスして確認する
