「トランプ大統領 訪中後 台湾への武器売却承認の可能性」報道

ロイター通信は、アメリカのトランプ大統領が今月末から予定している中国への訪問のあと、台湾への大規模な武器の売却を承認する可能性があると伝えました。台湾への武器売却をめぐっては中国の習近平国家主席が慎重に扱うべきだとしてアメリカ側をけん制していました。

トランプ大統領は今月31日から3日間の日程で中国を訪問し、習近平国家主席と首脳会談を行う予定です。

ロイター通信は13日、トランプ大統領が中国への訪問を終えたあと、台湾への大規模な武器の売却を承認し、公表する可能性があると伝えました。

この中で、「トランプ大統領のゴーサインが出れば、すぐにでも公式に発表できる状態だ。すべての準備は終えている」とする関係者の話を伝えています。

先月行われた米中首脳の電話会談で、習近平国家主席は台湾への武器売却について、「慎重に扱わなければならない」とアメリカ側の対応をけん制していました。

ロイター通信は、今回の武器の売却額は、地上配備型の迎撃ミサイル、PAC3など140億ドル、日本円でおよそ2兆2000億円にのぼり、台湾にとって過去最大規模になる見通しだとしています。

ホワイトハウスの当局者はNHKの取材に対し「売却の詳細についてはコメントしない。2期目のトランプ政権の1年でバイデン政権の4年を上回る武器の売却を承認している」としています。
