1日午後6時ごろ、鹿児島県と宮崎県で震度3の揺れを観測する地震がありました。この地震による津波の心配はありません。
このほか、九州と四国、中国地方、それに近畿などの広い範囲で震度2や1の揺れを観測しました。
気象庁によりますと、震源地は薩摩半島西方沖で、震源の深さは130キロ、地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは5.4と推定されています。
