鳥取 すいかの査定会 西日本有数の産地 来月上旬から本格出荷

すいかの生産が盛んな鳥取県北栄町で、すいか出来栄えを調べる査定会が開かれました。

鳥取県中部西部で350余り農家すいか栽培する西日本有数産地で、園芸試験場開かれた査定会には、北栄町倉吉市などで栽培されたすいか18持ち込まれました。

査定会ではJAの担当者が、すいかたたい空洞がないか確認たりを切って専用機械糖度測ったりして調べていきました。 その結果平均糖度外側が11.8度、内側が12.2度と出荷基準の11度をいずれ上回りました。

JAによりますとことしは春先低温生育遅れがあったものの、4月以降天候恵まれ糖度大きさとも例年並みとなっているということです。

鳥取県産のすいかは来月上旬から関西関東中心本格的出荷始まります。

また、7月には大阪関西万博での試食会も予定されているということです。 すいか農家岸本健志さんは「鳥取すいかはどこを切っても甘い、安定した味なので、消費者にはおいしく味わってもらいたいです」と話していました。
