先月28日の地震で熊本県八代市の工場の煙突が倒壊するなどして9人が死亡した日本製紙は、5日に地震のあと初めて市内で社長らが記者会見を行うと発表しました。

震度6強の揺れを観測した八代市にある日本製紙の八代工場では煙突が倒壊するなどして11人が工場内に閉じ込められ、このうち9人が死亡し2人がけがをしました。

これまで会社は詳しい状況について明らかにしていませんが、5日午後3時から八代市役所で瀬邊明社長や八代工場の工場長らが出席して記者会見を行うと発表しました。
