日本国籍の取得条件 “原則10年以上日本に住む”など厳格化へ
外国人の適正な受け入れに向けて、政府は日本国籍を取得するための条件について、来月から原則として10年以上日本に住んでいることなどを新たに加え、厳格化を図ることになりました。
それによりますと、外国人が日本国籍を取得するための条件について、来月から原則として10年以上日本に住み、社会に融和していることを新たに加えるとしています。
また、善良かどうかや生計を営む能力を判断するため、納税などの状況を確認する期間を拡大し、条件の厳格化を図るとしています。
日本国籍の取得をめぐっては、現在、条件の1つとなっている「5年以上日本に住所を有すること」が永住許可を得るために必要な在留期間の原則10年よりも短いことから、より長い期間の居住を必要とする方向で政府・与党内で検討が進められてきました。
