EU＝ヨーロッパ連合の統計局が1日に発表したユーロ圏21か国の8月の消費者物価指数は、去年の同じ月と比べて3.3％の上昇となり、伸び率は前の月の2.9％から拡大しました。

内訳をみますと、食品やアルコールを含む項目は1.2％の上昇と前の月から横ばいでしたが、エネルギーは14.3％の上昇と前の月の10％台から大きく拡大しました。

アメリカとイランはことし6月に戦闘終結に向けた覚書に署名しましたが、その後も双方の攻撃の応酬が続いていて、中東情勢の影響に伴うエネルギー価格の上昇が物価の伸びにつながっています。

国別では、経済規模が最も大きいドイツが2.9％、フランスは2.7％、イタリアは3.2％、スペインは4.5％の上昇と、いずれも前の月から拡大しました。

ヨーロッパ中央銀行は来週、金融政策を決める理事会を開きますが、物価の伸び率が拡大する中、市場では、ことし6月に続き、追加の利上げに踏み切るとの見方が優勢となっています。
