政府 石炭火力発電所の稼働率高める緊急措置へ 電力安定供給に
イラン情勢を受けて、LNG＝液化天然ガスの調達に影響が及ぶおそれがあるとして、政府は、新年度1年間、石炭火力発電所の稼働率を高める緊急措置を実施する方針です。脱炭素に逆行するものの、当面は電力の安定供給に軸足を置く構えです。
LNGは、日本の火力発電の主力燃料で、中東から輸入している割合は、およそ11％にとどまっていますが、ホルムズ海峡の事実上の封鎖で、調達に影響が及ぶおそれがあります。
このため政府は、石炭を燃料とする火力発電所の稼働率を、一時的に高めるよう促す、緊急措置を実施する方針です。
