三菱鉛筆は、鉛筆の「uni」(ユニ)と「Hi-uni」(ハイユニ)の1ダースのパッケージをリニューアルし、9月16日から順次発売する。主要硬度であるHB、B、2Bから展開、2027年を目処に全硬度で展開する。価格はuniが1,320円、Hi-uniが1,980円。 「uni」は1958年、「Hi-uni」は1966年に発売された、三菱鉛筆を代表する鉛筆ブランド。同社は2026年に創業140年を迎えている。原点である鉛筆ブランドのパッケージデザインと包装材について、環境への配慮や価値観の変化を反映し「これからの『uni』ブランドが目指す姿を表現するパッケージ」に刷新する。 発売当時は先進的な素材だったプラスチックケースは、時代の変化にあわせて、紙素材の外箱と、パルプモールドのトレーを組み合わせたパッケージへ変更される。外箱は薄くて強度のあるマイクロフルート(超極薄ダンボール)。 トレーは、アブラヤシの果実を搾った際の副産物(EFB、Empty Fruits Bunch)をアップサイクルしたパルプモールドを採用。緩衝性に優れるほか、机に置いてトレーとして使用できる。
