衆院 選挙制度改革へ協議会が初会合 年内に方向性示すこと確認
選挙制度の抜本的な改革を検討する衆議院の協議会が初会合を開き、現在の小選挙区比例代表並立制の課題や評価を検証し、年内に改革の方向性を示すことを確認しました。
衆議院の協議会は、額賀衆議院議長のもとに設置され、29日午前の初会合には自民党や立憲民主党など与野党9党と衆議院の1つの会派の実務者が出席しました。
冒頭、額賀議長は「衆議院の選挙制度の在り方は国民も注目している。熟議を持ってしっかり議論してもらいたい」と述べ、座長には自民党の逢沢元国会対策委員長が指名されました。
このあと出席者から「人口減少が進む中、1票の格差を是正するとともに、地方の声をいかに国政に反映させるかが課題だ」といった意見が相次ぎ、現在の小選挙区比例代表並立制の課題や評価を検証していくことになりました。
そして、ことしの国勢調査の結果が明らかになる来年春ごろをめどに結論を出すため、年内に改革の方向性を示すことを確認しました。
会合のあと、逢沢氏は記者団に対し「有権者の納得と共感が得られるよう真剣に議論に取り組む。よい結論を出せるように最善の努力を重ねたい」と述べました。
