LCCの乗客に配られたのは、2色のカードとケーキ。上空1万メートルで行われていたイベントにSNS称賛
アイスランドの格安航空会社（LCC）のプレイ航空が、公式SNSを更新。上空約1万メートルの機内で行われた"一大イベント"の様子を公開しました。同社の素敵な取り組みに、SNSで称賛が寄せられています。

動画には、1組のカップルが機体前方に呼び出される様子が映っています。
すると、客室乗務員は乗客に向けてこんなアナウンスをしました。
「今回はただのパリ行きのフライトではございません。歴史上初めて、北大西洋の上で赤ちゃんの性別がわかる瞬間かもしれません」
おなかの赤ちゃんの性別を周囲に発表するイベントは、「ジェンダー・リビール（Gender Reveal）」と呼ばれ、同社は今回、妊娠中のカトリーンさんと、パートナーのアントンさんのために企画しました。
約200人の乗客には、青とピンクのカードが配られ、生まれてくる子どもの性別をみんなで一緒に予想します。
用意されたケーキをカットすると……中からは水色の生地が。赤ちゃんの出生児に割り当てられた性別は、男の子だと判明しました。
カトリーンさんとアントンさんにはオリジナルのベビー用品が贈られ、乗客たちにはカップケーキが振る舞われました。
動画は20万回以上再生され、SNSには祝福の声が寄せられています。

カトリーンさんとアントンさんは、同社に感謝のコメントを寄せています。
「こんなにも素敵なかたちで赤ちゃんの性別を知ることになるなんて、想像もしていませんでした」
現在、3人の子どもと一緒に暮らすカトリーンさんとアントンさん。生まれてくる赤ちゃんは、2人の間にできる初めての子どもだといいます。
