メルカリ、台湾越境取引で新配送サービス「国際メルカリ便」 佐川と協力
メルカリは、台湾向けの越境取引を対象に新たな配送サービス「国際メルカリ便」(Mercari Global Shipping)を3月7日から開始する。サービス開始にあたり、佐川急便と越境取引事業の強化に向けた業務提携契約を締結した。
メルカリは、24年8月にグローバル戦略の一環として「越境取引」を通じて台湾へ進出。台湾在住者も、「メルカリ」(美露可利)に会員登録し、Web版「メルカリ」を通じて日本で出品された商品を購入できるようになった。25年3月には登録者が20万人を超え、台湾から、日本のメルカリ商品を買いやすくしている。
台湾からの利用拡大に合わせて、佐川急便と協力。新たな配送サービス「国際メルカリ便」を導入する。
「国際メルカリ便」は、台湾在住者が、Web版「メルカリ」を通じて日本で出品された商品を購入する際に、配送料がお得になる国際配送サービス。メルカリでは、24年10月に人気の「ゲーム・おもちゃ・グッズ」カテゴリーを対象に、台湾向けの国際配送料を平均61%引き下げる等の取り組みを行なっていたが、「国際メルカリ便」の導入により、より多くの商品カテゴリーで従来の価格に比べてお得な国際配送料でメルカリを利用可能にする。
